Renewing An Apple Developer Account

Renewing An Apple Developer Account

What's The Point?

Apple requires that you renew your account every year and pay their Annual fee ($99/year US and $119/year CAD).  Only the "Account Holder" can renew the account.

If you have auto-pay enabled, you will not need to do this unless the card you have on file has expired or does not go through.
Until you have renewed your Account, Gallus Golf cannot submit updates to your app with bug fixes and new features. Because of this, we recommend checking in occasionally to see if this or any other important updates are pending in your Apple account. This article will outline the 5-minute process to renew your account.

Steps To Complete

  1. Go to the Apple Developer website.
  2. Enter your Apple ID (email address), then click "Sign In".  You will be texted a six-digit confirmation code to be able to log in.
    1. Make sure you're logging in as the account owner. This can't be completed by anyone else at the business.
  3. You'll see a banner across the top of the screen with a blue button. Click "Renew Membership".

  4. You will be taken to Apple's payment website (shop.apple.com) and have to sign in again.  (You should not have to be texted a code again)
  5. To make a one-time payment, click on "New Credit or Debit Card" or click on a saved card if you have one.

  6. Enter your credit card information, including the name and address associated with the card, and click on "Continue to Review".

  7. On the next page, it will show any sales tax that will be added (sometimes this is charged as a second transaction).  Click on "Place Your Order".

  8. You should get a confirmation that the credit card went through.  If not, you may get an error code.  Please double-check the name, address, and card number.

      1. Apple's system does not accept certain corporate cards. If you card does not work, please contact us at support@gallusgolf.com.
  9. That's it! You're all done.

What If I Don't See The Banner?

  1. You can only renew your account if it is within 30 days of your Renewal Date or it has expired.
  2. You may have auto-renew enabled. To disable, scroll down to the "Membership details" and toggle "Auto-renew" to the OFF position (NOT Green)
