Enrolling In The Apple Developer Program

Enrolling In The Apple Developer Program

Thanks For Partnering With Gallus Golf!

We are excited to get to work on your new custom-branded mobile app. In order to submit it for you, we'll need you to complete a few simple steps to set up a developer account with Apple. Please read on for everything we need from you!

What's The Point?

In order to have an app live on their app store, Apple requires each business entity to enroll in their developer program to confirm they are legitimate. This process is your responsibility as the app owner and you are expected to complete the below steps before granting access to Gallus Golf, at which point we will handle the submission and periodic updates on your behalf.

Step 1: Create An Apple ID

  1. Visit this page to create your Apple ID. This login will be used throughout the process to log into Apple's Developer Account portal, so we recommend using an Apple ID related to your work email.

  2. You can use an existing Apple ID to apply as well.  If you already have one please skip this step.
    1. Make sure the Apple ID has your real name as Apple does not accept "Generic"  or "Fake" name and will have to verify your identity.

Step 2: Locate Your D-U-N-S Number

What's A D-U-N-S Number?

The D-U-N-S Number is a unique nine-digit number that identifies business entities on a location-specific basis. Assigned and maintained by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), the D-U-N-S Number is widely used as a standard business identifier.
Info
For more information, please view Apple's D-U-N-S Number help article.

Steps To Complete

  1. Navigate to D-U-N-S lookup page.

  2. Search for your company by name or phone number.

  3. Once you find your company, select it and enter your Name/Email to get the information E-mailed to you.

  4. Your D-U-N-S number will be sent to the email you entered. At this point, please proceed to Step 3.

What If My Information Is Incorrect On the Site?

InfoClick here to submit a request to D&B directly.  This can take 1-2 weeks to update and normally isn't necessary it it's just an address update (this can be taken care of AFTER you have been approved)

Step 3: Enroll In The Apple Developer Program

Now that you have all of your information prepared, it's time to submit your application to Apple's Developer Program. Follow the below steps:
  1. Click here to Start Your Enrollment.
  2. The system will suggest using the Apple Developer App to enroll. We do recommend the app, but you can still enroll online if you do not have access to an iOS device.

  3. Follow the steps to complete the enrollment process. Please take note of the following fields:
    1. Entity Type: Choose Company/Organization.
    2. Warning
      1. WARNING: Please do not sign up as an individual as Apple will not allow us to submit your app on your behalf.
    3. Legal Entity Name & D-U-N-S Number: Enter these exactly as they appeared in the email received as a result of step 2 of this article.
    4. Alert
      1. If you receive a message stating Your organization is not listed as a legal entity, your legal status is still to be verified. Click Update Your D&B Profile and follow the on-screen steps to verify your application. You will receive an email from D&B with the exact wait-time for processing.
    5. Authority To Sign Legal Agreements: Select either:
      1. I am the owner/founder and have the authority to bind my organization to legal agreements.
      2. My organization has given me the authority to bind it to legal agreements.
    6. Work Email: Please note this needs to be a domain from your business and NOT a generic one (@gmail.com, @hotmail.com, etc.)

Step 4: Last Steps

Once enrollment has been processed, two things will happen:
  1. An Apple representative will e-mail you with next steps.  Typically within 2-5 business days.
    1. Normally, the 1st e-mail will ask you to upload the following documents :
    2. NotesPlease check the e-mail as they MAY ask for different items or just have a general question about your business.
        • Applicant’s government-issued photo ID (i.e. Driver's License, Passport)

        • Applicant’s employment verification (i.e. Paystub, W2, Business Card, etc.)

        • Business documents for BUSINESS NAME, LLC:

        ONE of the following:

        • Articles of Incorporation

        • Business license

        • Certificate of Formation

        • Charter documents

        • Partnership papers (must be notarized)

        • Reseller or vendor license

        • Operating Agreement

  2. After uploading document, it will take another 2-5 business days for them to process the documents.

  3. Finally, Apple will normally email you a confirmation that enrollment has been processed.  You then need to login, accept their term and conditions, and then use a credit card to pay them for your 1st year with them.
Almost there! Complete the next two sections and you're all done.
