Overview

The Download Rewards Promo Banner is a customizable promotional banner that appears in your app to encourage new users to create an account. It highlights the download rewards available to customers upon registration and can be tailored with a custom image, title, and description.

App version 21.14 or higher is required for this feature.

 

Things to note: 

1. The promo banner will only display in the app if at least one Download Reward exists and is available.
   
2. The banner can be toggled on or off from the Download Rewards tab in your admin dashboard.
   
3. You can customize the banner with a custom image, title, and description.
   
4. If no custom image is set, the banner will automatically use the image of the first Download Reward.
   
5. If no custom title is set, the banner will display: Get free rewards when you create an account
   
6. If no custom description is set, the banner will display: After creating an account, you will receive access to the following rewards: followed by a list of active Download Rewards.
   

How to Access the Promo Banner Settings

1. From the left navigation menu in your admin dashboard, click Rewards
   
2. Click the Download Rewards tab at the top of the page
   
3. On the right-hand side of the screen, you will see the Download Reward Promo panel
   

1. Toggle on Promote in app to activate the promo banner
   
2. When enabled, additional customization options will appear, allowing you to upload an image, and set a custom promo title and description
   
1. Reminder: 
1. If no custom image is set, the banner will automatically use the image of the first Download Reward.
   
1. Note: You can use gifs as well as jpgs or pngs
2. If no custom title is set, the banner will display: Get free rewards when you create an account
   
1. Note: You can use emojis in the title! 
3. If no custom description is set, the banner will display: After creating an account, you will receive access to the following rewards: followed by a list of active Download Rewards.

User Experience

Step-By-Step

1. Customer opens your app
   
2. From the home screen they will see the promo banner
   
3. Remember, you can decide what it says, if not the default text will display (example below with default text)

1. If a customer does not create an account durning App Onboarding they will see the banner until they either create an account or you toggle it off for all customers 
2. If a customer is not logged in but has already created an account they should not see the banner
   
3. If a customer deletes the app and reinstalls it, they will see the banner until they log back in (as their local storage was cleared)
   
4. If a customer resets the app, they will see the banner until they log back in (as their local storage was cleared)
   

1. Tap on the promo banner, they will be taken to the create account screen:

2. Once they have created their account, and validated their email, they will be redirected to the Rewards

3. Customer taps a Reward to view details. Depending on the reward action they will see a redemption button, a link button or no button.

4. Customer taps Redeem Now button

5. A message appears, asking the customer if they're sure they'd like to use the offer now. If yes, tap the checkbox and then tap Redeem

6. For multi use Rewards, the customer selects the Quantity before tapping the checkbox and then tapping Redeem

7. A timestamp appears with the time the offer was redeemed.

8. The customer shows the timestamped Reward to staff at the time of purchase.
   
9. If it is a multiple use reward the customer will be able to view their redemption history until they've used all the rewards available to them.

10. DONE! After Redemption
    
1. One-time Rewards move to the Redeemed tab
   
2. Multi-use Rewards show redemption history until all uses are exhausted, then move to the Redeemed tab

Giving Download Rewards

Rewards need to be created first in order to apply them as a Download Reward. 

You can have multiple Download Reward Incentives. Consider trying two and see which one drives the most repeat visits.

1. Available from - the first date the download reward is available to new customers. 
   
2. Available until - the last date the download reward is available to new customers.

Pro Tip: Use staggered 'After Internal' expirations (7, 15, 30 days) to encourage repeat visits early in the customer lifecycle.
