Adding Options To onTap Menus

What's The Point?

As users place orders within a menu, it is important to provide them with the ability to customize their item. Read on to discover all of the options available for items with a Gallus onTap menu along with how to set them up.

A Word On Options

Options are the portion of an item that are up to the customer. Some examples:
  1. Side options
  2. Toppings
  3. Drinks included with combo
You as the admin can limit how many component options can be selected when a user is ordering. Let's take a look at an example:
A user selects a cheeseburger and would like to customize the toppings. There are three sections after the initial selection is made:
  1. Toppings (Unlimited)
    1. Lettuce
    2. Tomato
    3. Pickle
    4. Onion
    5. Avocado
  2. Side (Choose 1)
    1. Fries
    2. Fruit
    3. Chips
If we would like them to only be able to select one side, how do we do so? Let's take a look:

Steps To Complete

Creating A New Options List

  1. Log into your Gallus Golf Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Customize App --> Gallus onTap on the left side of the page.

  3. A new window opens. Use your onTap credentials (provided by your Gallus Golf account manager- email us if you need them) to sign in.
  4. On the left side of the screen, click Menu.

  5. On the menu that appears, click Options.

  6. On the ensuing page, click + in the top-right corner.

      1. Note that any option categories entered into this section can be added to any item in your menu if you choose.
  7. On the ensuing page, enter the following:
    1. Option Name: The name of the overall category; for instance, Sides.
    2. Type:
      1. Radio: Only one option can be selected from the list.
      2. Checkbox: Multiple options can be selected from the list.
      3. Image: An image must be uploaded by the user.
      4. Text: An open-text field.
      5. File: A file upload.
      6. Date: Allows the user to enter a date.
      7. Time: Allows the user to enter a time.
      8. Date & Time: Allows a user to enter both a date and time.
    3. Sort Order: Controls the placement of the option field in the overall options hierarchy.
    4. Option Value Name: Click the + to the right of this option and enter in all applicable options you'd like the user to choose from.

Copying Options To Another Item

This is a BIG time saver for one that's building an entire menu. Use it when you have more than one item with the same components!
  1. Log into your Gallus Golf Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Customize App --> Gallus onTap on the left side of the page.

  3. A new window opens. Use your onTap credentials (provided by your Gallus Golf account manager- email us if you need them) to sign in.
  4. On the left side of the screen, click Menu.

  5. On the menu that appears, click Copy Options.

  6. On the ensuing page, click the empty box on the left side of the page to select an item to use as a template.

      1. Click Check Options to the right of the empty box if you'd like to only duplicate certain options from the item you're using as a template.
  7. Click the empty box on the right side of the page to select any item(s) to duplicate the options to. Once the items are in the box below, the copying is complete- to undo, simply click the - next to the item title.
