In order to run an event in the Gallus Tournament Software, its framework must first be created. This article will outline all of the options on the tournament setup page to ensure the event is properly created.

Now that we have an understanding of what the goal is on tournament day, let's explore setting up a tournament in the Gallus Admin Dashboard.
Competitors and Team Game: What type of tournament and scoring style will this tournament be. (Note that all of these can be gross scoring, net scoring, or both. Handicap Allowance can be applied if necessary (click here for more info).)

6 points – Four strokes under
5 points – Three strokes under
4 points – Two strokes under

0 points – Two strokes or more over

Rounds: Enter the information for the day/time of your round(s)
Date: Select a day
Start Time: When will the event begin
Course: Which course will be used for scoring
Tee: Which tee box will the players be using?
NOTE: Must select only one tee box per round.

Once finshed, click Add.
Either continue adding rounds using the steps above (if you have more than one) or click I'm done adding rounds
Logo: Upload a tournament logo
Appears in print materials, leaderboards, etc.

Appears in print materials, leaderboards, etc.

A new page will open with multiple steps. They are color-coded based on need:
Red: Something is missing and the tournament will not appear in the app until information is added (i.e., there are no players entered)
Yellow: No information is entered, but the tournament can still run (i.e., no flights have been set up)
Green: The category has information entered and it will not prevent the tournament from running
