How Percentage Of Handicap (Handicap Allowance) Works
Before You Begin
What's The Point?
The goal of our percent of handicap feature is to provide an automated way to cut the course handicaps of all participants in a field equally by a fixed percentage. For instance, a tournament organizer may seek to limit the higher handicaps from having an unfair advantage by applying an 80% of handicap calculation to their entire field. This means a 10 course handicap becomes an 8, a 12 course handicap becomes a 10 (rounded up from 9.6), etc.
