Receiving An Order From onTap Menus

Before You Begin

What's The Point?

Receiving orders is an integral part of the Gallus onTap ordering process. It's vital to find a method that works for you and your staff. Read on to discover the options available to you.
Restaurant staffs can use as many (or as few) of these options as you'd like in tandem with each other.

Option 1: iOS Application

Most onTap menus utilize this functionality due to the familiarity and access to all facets of the menu.
This functionality is iPads running iOS. (Android devices or iPhones are not compatible.)

Logging Into The iPad App

  1. Download this app to your iPad.
  2. On the login screen, enter the same information you use to log into the online dashboard. Make sure to sign in online to grab the business ID. (You'll also be asked to select the location you're setting up.)


  3. Once logged in, an empty order screen displays.

Fulfilling An Order Through The iPad App

  1. A notification appears on the iPad when an order is received, along with an audible chime.

  2. Tap the order to view details.

  3. View the order details and (if necessary) input them into your POS system. Mark PendingPrepared, and Delivered as the process moves along.

      1. Tapping Send SMS will send a text to the customer letting them know their order is ready for pickup.

Viewing Order History Through The iPad App

  1. Tap the icon in the top-left of the screen.

  2. A side menu opens. Tap Order History.

  3. The Order History page appears. Use the date filter at the top to adjust the report and tap into any order for full details.

Option 2: Receipt Printer

This method sends a receipt to a supported receipt printer for the kitchen to fulfill the order. For full details on this method, please view our How onTap Receipt Printers Work article.

Option 3: Email

This method sends an email to the address(es) of your choosing. Follow the below instructions to set this method up:
  1. Log into your Gallus Golf Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Customize App --> Gallus onTap on the left side of the page.

  3. A new window opens. Use your onTap credentials (provided by your Gallus Golf account manager- email us if you need them) to sign in.
  4. Click Settings --> Settings on the left side of the screen.

  5. On the ensuing page, click Locations and select the edit pencil next to the location you're setting up.


  6. Click Notification towards the top of the page.

  7. Input as many emails as you'd like, separated by a comma, in the Email box.

      1. Select Every Order if you'd like to receive a new email for every order. Otherwise, a daily summary email will be sent to the emails you have indicated.
  8. LAST STEP: Click the Save icon in the top-right.

Option 4: SMS (Text) Alert

This method simply sends a text message to a phone number of your choosing with the basics of the order and a link to view the details. Follow the below instructions to set this method up:
  1. Log into your Gallus Golf Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Customize App --> Gallus onTap on the left side of the page.

  3. A new window opens. Use your onTap credentials (provided by your Gallus Golf account manager- email us if you need them) to sign in.
  4. Click Settings --> Settings on the left side of the screen.

  5. On the ensuing page, click Locations and select the edit pencil next to the location you're setting up.


  6. Click Notification towards the top of the page.

  7. On the ensuing page, input the raw phone number(s) (no dashes and comma-separated if there are multiple) in the SMS Alert field.

  8. LAST STEP: Click the Save icon in the top-right.

Option 5: Automated Call

This automated method places a call to the phone number of your choosing with an alert to check your online dashboard when an order is placed. Follow the below instructions to set this method up:
  1. Log into your Gallus Golf Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Customize App --> Gallus onTap on the left side of the page.

  3. A new window opens. Use your onTap credentials (provided by your Gallus Golf account manager- email us if you need them) to sign in.
  4. Click Settings --> Settings on the left side of the screen.

  5. On the ensuing page, click Locations and select the edit pencil next to the location you're setting up.


  6. Click Notification towards the top of the page.

  7. On the ensuing page, input the raw phone number(s) (no dashes and comma-separated if there are multiple) in the Automated call field.

  8. LAST STEP: Click the Save icon in the top-right.

Option 6: Fax

This method sends a fax to a fax number of your choosing. Follow the below instructions to set this method up:
  1. Log into your Gallus Golf Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Customize App --> Gallus onTap on the left side of the page.

  3. A new window opens. Use your onTap credentials (provided by your Gallus Golf account manager- email us if you need them) to sign in.
  4. Click Settings --> Settings on the left side of the screen.

  5. On the ensuing page, click Locations and select the edit pencil next to the location you're setting up.


  6. Click Notification towards the top of the page.

  7. On the ensuing page, input the raw fax number(s) (no dashes and comma-separated if there are multiple) in the Fax field.

  8. LAST STEP: Click the Save icon in the top-right.
