Moving to App Studio

🎉 Coming in Early September: Automatic Migration to App Studio

We’re excited to launch App Studio, your all-in-one hub for managing your app's look, layout and navigation - no update requests needed!

Starting in early September, all clients will be automatically migrated from App Navigation to App Studio — and you don't need to do a thing.

🚀 What is App Studio?

App Studio gives you full control over your mobile app's appearance and structure - with changes going live instantly!

Here's what it can do:

  1. 🎨 Style Your App — Easily update your logo, background image (or color), and brand colors in real time. Want advanced styling? Use Custom CSS
  1. 🏠 Design Your Home Screen — Build an app layout that showcases your most important content and features using Cards (buttons)Lists (collection of Cards), and Prebuilt options to jump start your layout!
  1. 📋 Build Your Side Menu — Create or hide your side menu - it's your call - using Items (aka links) or Prebuilt Items to get started fast.
  1. 📱 Create a Footer Menu — Add a footer menu for quick access to key features - or hide it entirely - build it similar to side menu.
  1. 👋 Manage App Onboarding Screens — Welcome users with a custom message, logo, background image and prompt to enable push notifications.
    1. **Still requires a support ticket to update your app.**
  1. 📁 Custom Folders Content (formerly App Navigation) - Create folders of content that link to app pages, external URLs and more - then link to these folders on your Home Screen, Side Menu or Footer Menu!

🔄 What’s Changing

  1. Your app’s look and feel will stay the same at the time of migration.
  2. All the management will move to the new App Studio interface.
  3. App Navigation will now be called Custom Folders inside App Studio.

✨ What You’ll See After Migration

🎨 Style

When you visit the Style tab, you’ll see a banner (see screenshot) that gives you the option to stay in the legacy layout until you’re ready to make the switch. You’re in control of when to move forward.

🏠 Home Screen

Your existing home screen “buttons” will now appear under a single block labeled Legacy Layout. You can continue to edit the items within this block as usual - and when you're ready, start building outside the Legacy Layout block to take full advantage of everything App Studio offers.

🧩 Flexibility on Your Terms

You can mix and match legacy and new features as you get comfortable. When ready - toggle off legacy layout and continue to watch your app grow! And remember - any time you toggle something on, it will instantly go live in your app for all users.
