League Software Basics

What's The Point?

The Gallus League Software is designed to provide a simple and intuitive experience for league admin and app users alike. It provides live scoring and a suite of league management tools that will help leagues run smoothly on a weekly basis.

This article will outline the framework of the Gallus Leagues Software and link out to sub-articles that explain each concept in finer detail.

What's A Host Access Link?

For League coordinators that need access to just one League (and not the rest of your app), we created a specific URL that app admins can provide to them. This URL does not require a login but will allow them to make adjustments to all settings for the specific League. It will not, however, allow them to edit any other part of the app.

To find and share a Host Access Link, please follow the below steps:
  1. Log into your Gallus Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Events.

  3. On the ensuing page, click Leagues in the top-right if the League you'd like to access is still active, or Past if the League end date has passed.

  4. Select the League you'd like to share access for.

  5. On the checklist page, scroll all the way to the bottom. Click Copy in the Host Access section to copy it to your clipboard, Share via Email to send it to a League Coordinator via an automated email, or Reset access if you'd like to revoke access for users that previously had a Host Access Link provided to them.

Duplicating A League

League admins will periodically need to duplicate a past League, mainly to set up a new year's worth of League scoring. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. Log into your Gallus Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Events.

  3. On the ensuing page, click Leagues in the top-right if the League you'd like to copy is still active, or Past if the League end date has passed.

  4. Select the League you'd like to duplicate.

  5. On the checklist page, scroll all the way to the bottom. Click Copy Event and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the League duplication process.

Deleting A League

When you'd like to permanently delete a league, follow the below instructions:
  1. Log into your Gallus Admin Dashboard.
  2. Click Events.

  3. On the ensuing page, click Leagues in the top-right if the League you'd like to delete is still active, or Past if the League end date has passed.

  4. Select the League you'd like to delete.

  5. On the checklist page, scroll all the way to the bottom. Click Delete Event and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm you'd like this League to be deleted.
Deleting a League is a permanent process that cannot be undone. Please make sure you will not need any information and intend to wipe all of its contents before completing the deletion process.
